孔子学院“音乐特长汉语教师及志愿者”预报名公告/Announcement of Applying for Confucius Institute "Chinese Teachers and Volunteers with Specialties in Music"

   孔子学院是我国在海外设立的、以教授汉语和传播中国文化为宗旨的非营利性教育机构。自2004年以来,孔子学院快速发展,截止2012年已在105个国家和地区建立了358所孔子学院和500个孔子课堂,受到世界各国的普遍欢迎,大批具有奉献精神的教师和志愿者们用汗水、智慧和努力,为孔子学院的建设做出了重要的贡献。
  随着孔子学院由最初的“以汉语推广为主”,发展到建设成为“中国文化对外交流的综合性平台”,世界各地的孔子学院和孔子课堂除了汉语课程以外,还开设了音乐、舞蹈、武术、书法等艺术课程,这些课程对于提升外国人学习汉语的热情,帮助他们更为深入而生动地了解中华文化起到了十分显著的效果,因此,孔子学院对师资的需求也正在由语言专业向文化艺术专业扩展。
    中央音乐学院作为全球首家“音乐孔子学院”的中方承办院校,依托“外派汉语教师”[含公派汉语教师和孔子学院(课堂)汉语教师]、“汉语教师志愿者”和“汉语教师海外志愿者”三个项目,现面向国内及海外开展“音乐特长教师及志愿者”的预报名工作。

“音乐特长教师及志愿者”的基本要求:
1.音乐特长教师原则上是有音乐专业的本科及以上学历,大专院校有两年以上教龄的在职教师;音乐特长志愿者原则上为国内及海外音乐专业的本科以上应届毕业生及在读研究生;音乐特长海外志愿者原则上为居住于海外,拥有音乐专业学位的华侨和留学人员。
2.热爱祖国,具备良好的政治素质,志愿从事中国音乐文化的推广工作。
3.有较强的组织纪律性和团结协作精神,品行端正,无犯罪记录。
4.身体健康,具有良好的心理素质和适应能力;
5.具备高水平的中国音乐专业素质和音乐教学实践能力,并掌握中华文化、当代中国国情和教学理论基本知识。
6.具备较好的外语沟通能力和跨文化交流能力,具有外语4级以上证书或其他证明外语能力证书者。

“音乐特长教师及志愿者”的基本待遇:
    音乐特长教师在派出期间,按照孔子学院总部/国家汉办“外派汉语教师” [含公派汉语教师和孔子学院(课堂)汉语教师]项目的有关规定享有工资、年终奖金及其他补贴等;教师的任期一般为两至三学年。
    音乐特长志愿者及海外志愿者按照孔子学院总部/国家汉办“汉语教师志愿者”和“汉语教师海外志愿者”项目的有关规定,不领取工资,只领取生活津贴;志愿者的任期一般为一年,原则上不超过三年。

    符合上述要求的人员可在本网站下载并填写表格,用电子邮件的方式提交到中央音乐学院音乐孔子学院办公室,经遴选后进入“音乐特长教师及志愿者人才库”。根据孔子学院总部/国家汉办每年提供的各孔子学院岗位的具体需求,由中央音乐学院从人才库中择优向孔子学院总部/国家汉办推荐人选。被推荐人在通过由孔子学院总部/国家汉办统一组织的考核及培训后,赴海外担任中国音乐的教学、展示和交流工作。

Confucius Institute is a non-profit educational institute established overseas which aims at teaching Chinese and popularizing Chinese culture. Since 2004, Confucius Institute has developed rapidly and reached a number of 358 Confucius Institutes and 500 Confucius Classes in 105 countries and regions by 2012, which enjoy warmly welcome in various countries around the world. A lot of teachers and volunteers have dedicated themselves and made remarkable contributions to the construction of Confucius Institutes with their perspiration, wisdom and efforts.

With the development of Confucius Institute’s focus from“popularization of Chinese” to “a comprehensive platform for Chinese culture’s external exchange”, Confucius Institutes and Classes all over the world have opened art courses of music, dance, martial arts, calligraphy, etc. in addition to Chinese courses. These courses have achieved conspicuous effects in uplifting foreign learner’s enthusiasm for learning Chinese and helping them to further understand Chinese culture. Therefore, Confucius Institute’s demand for teachers have expanded from profession in language to profession in culture and art.

As the undertaker of the world’s first “Music Confucius Institute”, and being authorized by Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban, Central Conservatory of Music have launched three programs:“Expatriate Chinese Teacher (including Government-Sponsored Chinese Teacher and Confucius Institute/Class Teacher)”, “Volunteer Chinese Teacher” and “Overseas Chinese Teacher Volunteer”, which now enroll “teachers and volunteers with specialties in music” at home and abroad.

Basic requirements for “teachers and volunteers with specialties in music”:

1. In principle, teachers with specialties in music should have a bachelor degree or above of music major and be in-service teachers with at least two years teaching experience; volunteers with specialties in music should be national or overseas graduates of this year with a bachelor degree or above or in-school postgraduates; oversea Chinese teacher volunteers with specialties in music should be living-abroad overseas Chinese and overseas students majoring in music.

2. Love for motherland and of good political quality, volunteer in undertaking the work of popularization of Chinese music culture.

3. Have a strong sense of organizational discipline and a spirit of solidarity and cooperation, have upright characters and have no criminal record.

4. Have good health condition, psychological quality and adaptability.

5. Have high-level quality in Chinese music and ability in music-teaching practice, have acquired basic knowledge of Chinese culture, China’s contemporary national condition and  instructional theory.

6. Have good foreign language communication skills and the ability in cross-cultural communication, have English level 4 or above certificate or other supporting foreign language ability certificate.

Basic treatment for “teachers and volunteers with specialties in music”:

During tenure, teachers with specialties in music enjoy salary, annual bonus and other subsidies according to the relevant regulations of Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban’s“Expatriate Chinese Teacher (including Government-Sponsored Chinese Teacher and Confucius Institute/Class Teacher)”; the tenure of a teacher is two or three academic years in general.

Volunteers with specialties in music and overseas volunteers will enjoy no salary but only subsistence allowance according to the relevant regulations of Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban’s “Volunteer Chinese Teacher” and “Overseas Chinese Teacher Volunteer” programs; the tenure of a volunteer is one year in general and no more than three years in principle.

People with eligibility of above requirements can download a form from this website and submit it after filling out by email to the Music Confucius Institute Office of Central Conservatory of Music and will be reserved into “Talent Pool for Teachers and Volunteers with Specialties in Music” after selection.

Qualified candidates of the Talent Pool will be recommended to Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban by Central Conservatory of Music subject to the yearly demand for positions of Confucius Institutes provided by Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban. Recommended candidates will be dispatched to undertake works of teaching, demonstration and exchange of Chinese music abroad after passing the examination and training by Confucius Institute Headquarters/ Hanban.
