Music is an important part of and plays an irreplaceable role in the international cultural exchange; “young people are most vigorous and innovative, they are the main force of cultural exchanges as well as the pioneers and bridge of the exchange, communication and understanding between the two countries” (spoken by Vice-Premier Liu Yandong at the “40th Anniversary of Sino-British Overseas Studies”). The first project of “Center for the Exchange and Experience of Chinese and Foreign Music Cultures” brought the two groups of young people with completely different cultural backgrounds yet the same youthful spirit together, they communicated and exchanged with each other through singing. This activity is of undoubted far-reaching significance, it indicates the exchange and fusion between Chinese and global cultures will become more and more prosperous towards a bright future.
